6.Additional expansion opportunities within the existing project

Every meaningful project begins with a single goal but true growth is found in the willingness to keep dreaming, even before the first building takes shape. As the vision for our community cooling hub nears reality, we’re already looking beyond blueprints and prototypes, asking: What more can we do for our community and the land that supports us?Though the hub itself is still on the horizon, the planning and groundwork are complete, and each new opportunity we outline here is part of a bigger mission one that’s always been about more than just storage. From empowering local youth through training and repair skills, to exploring ways to recycle and repurpose what others discard, we see a future where this project becomes the seed for so much more. This page is a glimpse into that future into the possibilities that open up when innovation meets real need. Every expansion idea here is rooted in the same spirit that started this journey: a belief that local solutions, built together, can shape a brighter, more resilient tomorrow. We’re not just building a cooling hub; we’re building a movement one idea, one partnership, one breakthrough at a time.

From Cooling Storage to Community Innovation: The Rise of the Fridge Repair & Research Hub

In my village, where over 300,000 homes exist, fridges break down daily and yet there are no affordable, reliable repair services.
People are forced to buy new fridges or travel far for help. In a community already battling with high food costs, poor storage, and limited access to services, this is a hidden crisis.

At the same time, many talented young people are unemployed, wasting away with no clear path forward .And here I was… building a cooling house that relies on refrigeration technology. I asked myself: “What if we fixed two problems with one solution?”

So here’s the next chapter.

I’m going to build a space right next to the cooling storage facility — where we:
– Collect old, broken fridges
– Train 4 young, unemployed locals in our village
– Fix those fridges for the community
– Reuse parts for cooling innovation
– Learn from real-world systems to build something even better

The hub will serve as a hands-on repair center and learning lab where innovation meets purpose.

I won’t be alone in this.

A close friend of mine who works for one of the biggest refrigeration companies in the country has agreed to partner with me.

He’s seen the industry’s inner workings. He understands systems, cooling technologies, and repairs like second nature. Together, we’ll bring high-level knowledge into a grassroots project that empowers locals.

Pair that with AI support from ChatGPT and a community hungry for change we’re building something with global thinking and local action.

  • 1. No More Outsourcing Repairs – We’ll cut costs on maintaining our cooling house and storage systems because our in-house team will handle it.

  • 2. Real Innovation, Real Learning – By working on actual fridges, our team will learn how refrigeration works and how it can be improved.

  • 3. A New Income Stream – We’ll repair fridges for households across the village — an affordable service with high demand.

  • 4. Smart Recycling – Old fridges = spare parts = prototypes. We’ll use what others throw away to innovate and build.

  • 5. Grow Local Talent – This is a mentorship program. Every person trained becomes part of a long-term solution.

  • 6. Attract Support & Sponsorship – Our impact will attract grants, donations, and government/private sector support.

  • 7. Environmentally Friendly – Fixing instead of tossing? That’s eco-warrior level thinking.

  • 8. Boosting Our Brand (OurPlazi) – OurPlazi becomes a movement for village-based innovation.

  • 9. Creating Jobs, Not Just Services – Trained people can start their own repair units.

  • 10. Laying the Groundwork for a Future Academy – This can evolve into a training school with certified recognition.

This isn’t just about fixing fridges.

It’s about:
– Teaching people how to fish
– Reducing waste and unnecessary expenses
– Keeping money circulating locally
– Proving that with vision, collaboration, and a few tools… we can build a future right from the ground we walk on

We don’t want cash. We want materials and tools.

We’ll soon publish a list of:
– Old fridges for training
– Toolkits and workbenches
– Shipping containers (for space)
– A land grader machine (for site preparation)
– Power tools and safety gear
– Refurbished appliances and electronics
– Roofing and construction materials for the repair space

We’ll build it brick by brick, wire by wire, just like we did with the cooling system.
